PLEASE READ THESE MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
- We use the spine length of the dog to determine the correct coat selection.
- The dog’s spine is measured from the top of Shoulder to the Base of Tail (spine length).
- Do not measure up the neck or from the collar, this will give a larger measurement and the coat will be too big.
- Do not measure down the tail, this will give a larger measurement and the coat will be too big.
- It is better to have a coat which is slightly too small, a coat which is too big will restrict the tail and tend to slip.
Please order the size of coat according to the dog’s spine length and breed of dog, our coats have different cuts according to the breed and are categorised on our site under the required breed.
Our coats have a fold back hood which makes the total length of the coat longer therefore please measure and order depending on the spine length measurement and order from the correct category for your dogs breed.

* Please Note - Pure breed whippets have a very arched back. All our Whippet coats have a very arched cut for prure breed Whippets.
If you have a cross breed whippet with a flatter back the this cut WILL NOT BE sutable.
